European Champions League
Villa was one of the most preoccupied aspects during the transfer window in January, where she brought Rashford as well as Marco Ascio, Excel Desassi, Doni Malin and Andres Garcia, with the departure of the likes of John Duran, Emiliano Boendia and Diego Carlos.
The Champions League rules dictate that only three changes can be made on the Champions League teams in the second half of the campaign, which led Malin-which joined Borussia Dortmund-and the right-wing dysfunction Garcia.
“The decision that we had to make yesterday while they were outside – Andres Garcia, and also, Deniel Malin,” Emery explained.
“It was not a good decision to take it, but I spoke with Andres and spoke with Doni to tell them about the decision.”
