Donna d'Errico She looks back at the most challenging moments in her life before she found success Baywatch.
“I've been homeless for a while. I've been homeless for about three months, initially before baywatch,Derrico (56 years old) said exclusively Us Weekly While attending the annual Christmas celebration of the Los Angeles Mission. During the event, Derrico gave back by providing food to others experiencing homelessness in Skid Row, a neighborhood in Los Angeles with the largest population of unhoused people in the country.
“I understand and sympathize with their plight,” the actress continued, adding that it is “important” for people experiencing homelessness to “know that they are a strong part of the community as well.”
“They're not just outcasts and things that everyone looks down on. A lot of people feel that way, but they shouldn't feel that way because we're all human. Some of us have homes to live in, and some of us, unfortunately, don't,” Derrico said. “So, They were classified as a homeless group. But I don't like doing that. We are all human beings, some of us are better off than others, and I want them to know that they are important and valuable parts of society too.
As Derrico reflected on her past, she noted that it was important for her to do so Give back to the community and the homeless population in Los Angeles because, like her, she knows people affected by homelessness.
“Homelessness has affected me in so many different ways,” she shared. “I had family that was homeless for a while, and friends that were homeless for a while.”
D'Errico also took it Instagram To share their support for the LA Mission cause, while thanking the organization for the opportunity to give back. “Thank you to @thelamission for letting me volunteer over the past several years,” she wrote in a post shared in December 2024. “We served hundreds of Christmas meals today to so many wonderful people who weren’t so lucky.”
Everything changed for Derrico when she booked the role of Donna Marco, the blonde lifeguard on the classic series. Baywatch. Since then, she has focused primarily on her work as an animal rights advocate.
Derrico was involved with her ex-husband, Nikki six From Motley Crue, before her Baywatch Co-star Pamela Andersonwho was previously married to the Mötley Crüe member Tommy Lee. Derrico and Six married in 1996 and officially divorced in 2007.
When asked if Derrico had seen Anderson's latest film, the last showgirl, Which earned Anderson huge critical acclaim for her performance. D'Errico said she didn't do it but added: “Whatever she does, I'm sure it's great.”
