Stewart Smith Parkinson's diagnosis The eagle guitarist forced retirement, Fox News Digital can confirm.

Since his diagnosis, 72 -year -old musician has suffered from “performance issues”.

“With deep regret, due to the recently diagnosed Parkinson's performance issues, I find that I have to move from my role with the eagles while I can still do this.” Smith told Fox News Digital in a statement. “It was a quarter of a great century, and I was hoping to be able to finish this year with the band, but I must now do what is better for everyone.”

Parkinson's is “the term umbrella” used to describe the symptoms Cleveland clinic. While Parkinson's disease represents 80 % of all cases of Parkinson's, other conditions – multiple system atrophy or cortical degeneration – can also cause symptoms.

“The eagles will forever be grateful for the exceptional talents that he brought to both our records and live performances. Steuart will greatly miss it, but it will always be part of our musical family. We know that many of our fans join us in good wishes.”

Don Henley

The reaction of the founding member Don Henley to Smith's retirement was in a joint statement with Fox News Digital.

Henley said: “The eagles will be grateful forever for the exceptional talents that he brought to both our records and live offers,” Henley said.

“Steuart will be missed greatly, but it will always be part of our musical family. We know that many of our fans join us in wishing it well.”

Smith's retirement comes at a time when the band passes in the middle of the road by staying in the field in Las Vegas, according to To diversity.

Guiterist Chris Hoult replaced Smith from January 17, according to the perpetrator. Smith rose with the group for the first part of the residence, from September 20 to December 14.

Smith joined Eagles In 2001 when most of the role of Don Felder took over in the rock band. Wilder was expelled from the band after years of tension between the guitarist Glenn Fry and Henley, along with a 14 -year stop.

The shooting decision was taken by Fry and Henley. The musician responded by prosecuting the band due to the illegal termination, and the group eventually settled outside the court.

Before cooperating with the eagles, Smith was known for his work with Rosan Cash, Shawn Colvin, Rodney Curoul and Winona Jude.

The band is currently consisting of Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.
