They drafted Will Levis early in the second round of the 2023 draft, but it's been a roller coaster for the Kentucky alum. However, franchise legend Chris Johnson said the team will be “Absolute fools” If they don't take Shedeur's teammate, Travis Hunter.
Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk informed Carthon that the team would be making a change Tuesday morning.

“I loved my time with Rahne. He is a gifted football mind, a great guy, and a friend to everyone along his path. It is impossible to ignore that our football team has not improved over the past two years. I am deeply disappointed in our record,” Strunk said in a statement. “The bad in winning and losing during this period is of course, but my decision also reflects my concern about our long-term future if we continue on this path.”
“I love this team more than you can imagine. To our fans: We know this level of performance is unacceptable. We are humbled by your support as we continue to work to build the team you expect and deserve.”
Despite Carthon's dismissal, coach Brian Callaghan will return next season.
