Former Australia opener David Warner has responded to Marnus Labuschagne's recent comments in which the latter criticized Warner regarding the manner of his dismissal. It was Warner who started this debate as he criticized the manner in which Labuschagne was sent off after scoring fifty points.

Warner was not happy with the way Labuschagne was throwing the wicket away and hit a gully after being caught. The former Australian cricketer made the comments after Labuschagne was bowled out for 64 during the second Test between Australia and India in Adelaide.

It was a ball outside the off-stump and went away from all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and Labuschagne who just poked it. As a result, it was caught at its outer edge by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who caught it sharply in the gully.

“We want to see Marnus (Labuschagne) score, we want to see a hundred goals. It's his home ground. He knows this ground better than anyone else. And when he turns 50, he wants to play that shot (on goal).” gully area),” Warner told the Western Australian newspaper.

However, Warner still backs Labuschagne to do well in Brisbane and has asked him not to worry about outside noise. He claimed that Labuschagne's familiarity with the Gabba would help in the test match.

“I don't think it's a chance for him to want to play when he's 50. You want to try to keep it going, but I kind of feel like when he's sweeping outside the off stump, that's not when he's at his best.” He is still flirting.”

“For Marnus (Labuschagne), just focus on batting. We know he likes to eat sandwiches of cricket balls. I want to keep him in mind for a big hundred. We love him, but don't worry about the noise, is what we are saying,” he added.
