For the past several years, Democratic politicians have convinced themselves that they will never have to answer any unfriendly questions, and amid this crisis… The tragic hell in CaliforniaThis rejection is truly angering.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is the latest know-nothing Democrat who plays dumb when asked perfectly legitimate questions. After cutting short a trip to Ghana, Bass stood silent When asked if she should be in the city she drives instead of traveling.
Bass held a press conference later, which may have been an occasion to answer reporters' inquiries. But she used that to insist once again that this was not the time to question her leadership.
In the same way, California Assembly President Robert Rivasa leading advocate of using California's resources to thwart Trump's agenda and a rival to America's most tone-deaf politicians, held a press conference as the fires broke out.
He was asked: Is the time now appropriate to hold a special legislative session regarding allocating funds to fight Trump?
Amid the stuttering and stuttering that might prompt Bob Newhart to say, “Just spit it out, man,” he responded, “These are, uh, uh, uh, these are historic wildfires, uh, uh, uh,” and it only got worse from there. At no time did he attempt to answer the question vaguely.
Later Friday, Gov. Gavin Newsom had the opportunity to stare blankly into space while being asked about the fires, not by the media this time, but by someone. A California resident whose daughter's school just burned down.
“I'm literally talking to the president right now to specifically answer a question about what we can do for you and your daughter,” Newsom added. Reducing the state's fire prevention budget by $100 million Just a few months ago, she told the distraught mother.
But when I asked the governor to put the call on speakerphone, Newsom said he had no service and was walking around trying to get a cell phone signal.
The governor of California, his state on fire, waves his phone in the air like an angry teenager who can't upload a photo to Instagram.
If that doesn't sum up the incompetence of California's Democratic politicians' response, I don't know what does.
And speaking of soon-to-be former President Joe Biden, where do you think Bass, Rivas and Newsom learned that they had no obligation to answer questions? That's right, from Scranton Joe.
Not only does Biden refuse to answer questions, he regularly verbally attacks any reporter, and let's be honest, it's usually Fox News' Peter Doocy or Real Clear Politics' Philip Wegman who dares to ask him tough questions.
Then there's Vice President Kamala Harris, who ran for president and has given fewer interviews than the winner of the ice sculpting competition at the Minnesota State Fair.
Like Sergeant Schultz in “Hogan's Heroes,” these Democrats screw up their serious faces and say, “I don't know anything!”, while most of the media spins it as if they're receiving pearls of wisdom from the Oracle of Delphi.

These Democrats are like a baseball hitter who sees a curveball, calls a timeout and says, “I'm only accepting fastballs up the middle today.”
Perhaps the Jeffersonians and Jacksonians should realize that they are losing confidence and elections quickly, precisely because while Donald Trump holds two-hour presses in which he addresses every question asked of him, they dig in their heels and say, “Now is not the time.”
Well, when is a good time to ask about impaired driving in California? When will the next fires get out of control? In fact, this would never be a good time for these selfish observers to answer questions. They are above that. And above us.

There were some signs this week, if you will, that the media is fed up with these Democrats' refusal to explain themselves and their actions. Let us hope that the anger spreads, and that these politicians hold their feet to the fire.
The people of California and the people of America deserve better. We deserve leaders who explain frankly and comprehensively to their constituents what our government is doing. But Democrats don't want that, they want unquestioned power and authority. What they haven't realized yet is that this is why they are continuing a losing streak.
