One bold bettor hopes history will repeat itself when… Kansas City Chiefs The Buffalo Bills host the AFC Championship Game this weekend.
The Chiefs are desperate for their first-ever three-peat and one bullish sports bettor believes – very confidently – they can pull it off. Invoices on Sunday afternoon the same way they did in the 2021 AFC Championship game.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, a $1.3 million bet was placed on the Chiefs moneyline (-130). The total amount will be $2.3 million.

The Chiefs are currently odds-on to win -1.5, while the Bills money line is +114.
If we judge by history, the leaders are the safe bet.
Patrick Mahomes The company has participated in seven consecutive matches in the AFC Championship. They've won four of their last five and have gone on to win three Super Bowls, including two in a row. They are now looking to become the first team in NFL history to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy in three consecutive seasons.

“Obviously you want to win three in a row, but building those memories with the players and with the community every year is special,” Mahomes said. “When I look at all the different Super Bowls that we've won, I look at the special moments that we've had and the special games that we've had.” We had it, and we will try to do the same this year.”
The rivalry between the Bills and Chiefs has seen three of Buffalo's last four playoff runs end thanks to Kansas City. The first was in 2021 in the AFC Championship game, the following year a tough overtime loss in the divisional round, and again last season with another narrow loss in the divisional round.

But 2025 could be the year of the underdog if the Bills maintain what they were doing in the regular season.
