It appears that Liverpool's players were forced to separate in a tense confrontation in the dressing room after yesterday's frustrating 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Rumors circulating on social media suggest that all is not well within Liverpool's squad at the moment, with Trent Alexander-Arnold's uncertain future potentially starting to unsettle the rest of the squad.

It remains to be seen how reliable these rumors are, but a lot of high-profile accounts seem to be saying similar things about the negative reaction to yesterday's game and concerns about Alexander-Arnold's contract situation continuing to become a distraction…

Liverpool will no doubt view this as a hugely disappointing two-point loss, with Arne Sloat's side going into the game against Manchester United as the main favourites.

Before the match, there was talk of a possible repeat of something similar to the 7-0 rout two years ago, but United somewhat spoiled the party with a surprisingly determined display.

Does Liverpool need to postpone matters off the field?

Liverpool's performances have been flawless on the pitch this season, with Sloat doing an impressive job since taking over from Jurgen Klopp in the summer.

There's certainly no need to panic just yet, but if the atmosphere in Liverpool's dressing room isn't really good due to long-term contract sagas, trouble will likely start soon.

Alexander Arnold seems to be the biggest concernIt was particularly bad against the Red Devils yesterday, but it is also the case that Mohamed Salah and Van Dijk have not yet agreed on new deals.

This is certainly something everyone else at Liverpool will want to settle as soon as possible, so it will be interesting to see how performances and results play out if this issue remains unresolved.
