Ciara Looking for the next dance icon.
The 39-year-old “Level Up” singer launched…Dance icon“- in partnership with enormous – An online dance fundraising competition where people can vote to give an unknown dancer a big chance. The winner will appear in Ciara's latest music video and will receive $20,000.
“I empathize with the power of dance and how it inspires others. I thought 'Dance Icon' would be a fun way to engage with the world of dancers out there,” Ciara shared in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly On Monday, December 9th. “I know firsthand that truly amazing things happen when the dance community comes together, and I’m looking forward to the impact we can make when we come together.”
Ciara's CV proves that she is the perfect choice to lead the competition. Voting begins on Monday, February 3, and ends on Friday, April 18, 2025. All voters receive one free vote every 24 hours; Additional votes can be purchased and proceeds go to the Why Not You Foundation. The dancers with the most votes are narrowed down weekly, and the final eight dancers will head to Scottsdale, Arizona, to participate in a live dance competition, performing in person for Ciara and Jamaica Crafther longtime choreographer.
