Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid knows football. He also knows a thing or two about being a dad.

on monday, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes They announced the birth of their third child in a social media post. Golden Ray Mahomes was born on Sunday, January 12, and is the couple's second daughter.

They also have a two-year-old son named Patrick Lavon III, nicknamed Bronze.

With three down, Mahomes told reporters on Tuesday that he's content with his family size “for now,” but Reid offered a different perspective when speaking to the media.

“Yes, I think he's doing a great job at it,” Reid said when asked how the veteran quarterback is handling fatherhood. “He came up as Patrick at two in the afternoon, and now he's Patrick at three in the afternoon.”

But for Reed, a father of five, he believes the more the merrier.

Chiefs Patrick Mahomes admits he's 'good' with 3 kids at the moment after celebrating recent birth

“Once you have three, four and five it's easy. That's what I told him,” Reed said with a smile. “I made three, added a couple more, and we'll talk.”

However, Mahomes' focus now is definitely on the playoffs.

He will face the Chiefs Houston Texas Saturday in the divisional round hosted by Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs seek a historic third straight championship.

“I think every year is a special year,” Mahomes said. “Obviously you want to win three in a row and build those memories with the players and the community. But every year is a special year. And when I look at all the different Super Bowls that we've won, I look back at the special moments that we had and the special games that we had, so we're going to try We can do the same this year.”

The Chiefs enter Saturday's game well-rested after earning a bye as the No. 1 seed.
