Chelsea will look to end their miserable five-game Premier League run without a win when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening.
The Blues have stumbled with draws or defeats in matches with Everton, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, as the short-lived title contenders now look to retain their place in the Champions League qualification places.
while Chelsea Suffering from difficult circumstances, they can draw solace from their last meeting with… Wolves. After suffering three successive defeats to the Midlands side, Noni Madueke's hat-trick inspired the Blues to a 6-2 win at Molineux Stadium in August.
The defeat came by six goals under Gary O'Neill and new manager Vitor Pereira will be keen to improve on that result and performance on Monday evening. Two losses on the bounce mean Wolves are still fighting feverishly for relegation, but they have shown signs of life under the Portuguese.

Enzo Maresca has revealed talisman Cole Palmer is one of several doubts ahead of Monday's game. The attacking midfielder, along with Levi Colwell, Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandes, did not train on Friday and will be assessed closer to the start of the match.
The Blues are still without long-term absences Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile in defence, with the former likely to miss the rest of the season, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also missing from the engine room.
Mykhailo Modric remains suspended after failing a drug test.
Chelsea's expected lineup against Wolverhampton (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalupa, Colwell, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
The good news for Pereira is Matheus Cunha's return from suspension against Newcastle, even if the Wolves star was unable to prevent his side from losing 3-0 at St James' Park.
In worse news, Wolves remain without a host of players for the trip to Stamford Bridge, with Totti Gomes and Jersson Mosquera missing in defence. The latter will miss the rest of the season.
Enzo Gonzalez and Sasa Kalajidzic are long-term absentees, while Boubacar Traore is yet to return despite being close to returning to the first team.
The expected Wolves lineup against Chelsea (3-4-3): this; Doherty, S. Bueno, Agbado; Semedo, Andre, Gomez, Ait Nouri; Guedes, Konya; Larsen Beach.
Chelsea have proven to be unpredictable in recent weeks, failing to win five games in a row despite heading into each encounter as favourites. They are expected to win on Monday evening as well, although their home record is not particularly inspiring (W4, D4, L2).
However, defensive woes and potential absences ahead of the match could be beneficial for the visitors, who have attacking threats of their own in the returning Cunha and powerful striker Jurgen Strand-Larsen.
It's likely to be an entertaining game, and perhaps Chelsea will sneak in an important win.
