Jamie Carragher was no fan of Mark Cucurella, branding the Spanish full-back “an embarrassment”, after his gaffes gave Tottenham an early 2-0 lead over Chelsea this afternoon.
Cucurella apparently had the wrong buttons on his shoes after he twice lost his footing on the grass and fell to the ground. The first time saw him lose the ball to Brennan Johnson, who crossed for Dominic Solanke to score.
Second slip saw the ball eventually fall to Dejan Kulusevski and he curled it into the bottom right corner.
After the second goal, Cucurella sprinted to the touchline to get some boots with longer studs, with former Liverpool defender Carragher saying: “Cuccurella coming to the bench, don't blame anyone else – it's your fault son! Who's to blame, Keetman? Stuff.” Embarrassing divorced student.
“He's slipping again. I look at him and he shrugs. Didn't he warm up?”

Jadon Sancho pulled one back for Chelsea in an entertaining first 45 minutes that also saw Cristian Romero injured early for a Spurs side who were able to welcome Micky van de Ven back from injury.
