Edgar Berlanga posted the next six fights he wants following his March 8 fight, which is rumored to be against the journeyman. Gabriel Rosado (26-17-1, 15 KOs) in Puerto Rico. Rosado has not won a fight in four years since 2021.
Six fights, zero chance?
He will likely lose all six of the fights Berlanga wants. This would make it difficult for him to fight the remaining five without backlash from the fighters who chose to fight him.
Edgar Jermall included Charlo and the recently exited Jaime Munguia on the list. Even these guys would likely be very talented against the much larger Berlanga.
Interestingly, Berlanga (22-1, 17 KO) has listed a rematch with Canelo Alvarez as one of the six fights he wants, something that seems very unlikely without him beating someone high-ranking at light heavyweight or cruiserweight.
Canelo would never fight Berlanga without doing something beyond his abilities, like beating David Benavidez, David Morell, Artur Beterbiev, or Dmitry Bivol.
Berlanga was reportedly hydrated to 193 lbs For his 12-round unanimous decision loss to Canelo on September 14 of last year. The Brooklyn, New York, native looked tremendous in the ring with Canelo that night. Surprisingly, he was able to make 168 lbs.
Being that big, he should fight at light heavyweight. Berlanga's decision to stay at 168 is understandable, but he's not talented enough to overcome even marginal competitors at 175.
Wish List
βAfter my fight on March 8th, these are the next six fights I don't want in no particular order.

Jermall Charlo
Caleb plant
Hamza Shiraz
Canelo Alvarez – rematch
Diego Pacheco
Fighters like Caleb Plante and Hamza Shiraz would likely jump at the chance to fight Berlanga. The former IBF super middleweight champion has already tried to get a fight against him, but with no luck. If Plant tries to fight him, he might ignore him and continue to play it safe, waiting and hoping for Canelo to bless him in a rematch.
Berlanga has yet to defeat anyone to prove that he is a B-level fighter. He is not an A-level fighter in terms of his appearance against Canelo and in some of his other fights.
Berlanga's best victories:
-Steve Rolls
β Rumer Alexis Angulo
β Marcelo Coceres
-Diamond Nicholson
-Jason Quigley
– Padraig McCrory
