Khloe Kardashian She expressed frustration with Los Angeles officials over California wildfires that have forced thousands to evacuate their homes and displaced many families.
On Friday, “The Kardashians” star took to social media to share a clip from a video Fox 11 interview During which Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Christine Crowley said that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass had failed the city.
Kardashian, who evacuated her Hidden Hills home on Friday, shared a screenshot of the clip on her Instagram Story, saying: “I… Stand by, Chief Crowley!!!! You told the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I could tell you didn't even want to say it but it was the truth!!!!”
“Thank you for your honesty,” she added. “Mayor Bass you are a joke!!!!”

When asked by Fox affiliate KTTV on Friday if Mayor Bass had failed the city, Crowley replied: “Yes.”
“Any budget reduction will impact our ability to provide service,” Crowley said. “This is a basic fact about our capacity. If there was a budget cut, we would have to pull somewhere else. What does that mean? It can't be done or there are delays.”

After making the comments, a source told Fox 11 that Crawley was “ordered” to meet with Bass to discuss her statements. The mayor “was not very pleased,” the source said.
Representatives for Kardashian and Mayor Bass did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Since the fires broke out on Tuesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles officials have faced backlash from celebrities over their lack of preparedness and response to the crisis as the fires continue to wreak havoc on the city.

“It's destroyed the entire city, and it hasn't stopped yet,” Heaton said. “It's very frustrating. There was a lot that could be done over the last 40 years to make sure fires don't do this to our friends in Los Angeles. The ball has been dropped time and time again.”

“City of LA, wants to evacuate everyone but you have a complete gridlock and not a single traffic cop on the roads helping,” Gellar wrote on her Instagram Story with tags on the official social media accounts of the City of Los Angeles and Bass.
Mauricio Umansky, founder and CEO of The Agency, a Southern California-based real estate brokerage that also starred in Netflix's Buying Beverly Hills, told Fox News Digital Thursday that he was disappointed by the California government's lack of preparedness ahead of the fires.

“We are one of the largest economies in the world, California alone,” Umansky said. “Los Angeles, you know, being the second largest city in the country, our taxes are the highest paid in the country.
“And the fact that we weren't prepared, I mean we wouldn't have been able to prevent an accident, but the fact that our government wasn't prepared. We didn't remove brush. We didn't have water in our fire hydrants that we weren't prepared for, and we didn't spend money where we needed to.” Spend it.”
