One of my most consistent traits in middle age is that I've never mastered TikTok. Every time I try to use it, I can practically feel like it's giving me ADHD. Because of that, it took me a hot minute to discover that one of the biggest stars in the world Buffy the Vampire Slayer She's been busy taking over social media, and now she's promising something that will delight her greatest fans. Charisma Carpenter, best known for her role as Cordelia Chase, is polling her fans on TikTok on whether they would be interested in leading a movie Buffy Rewatch the podcast.

Charisma Carpenter on TikTok

If you share my hatred of TikTok, you may not realize how busy Charisma Carpenter is Buffy Fans enjoyed. She entertains everything from fans' wild questions about how David Boreanaz smells to fans' admiration for his “naughty…potty mouth.” However, none of her content has generated as much attention as her asking if fans want her to rewatch the podcast, and for good reason: If she's willing to spill the tea, there are few actors in Joss Whedon's vampire-slaying world You have a more compelling story to share.

One reason for this is that Charisma Carpenter was able to walk the line between two major franchises, serving as a main cast member. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Before he turns moody angel Spinoff yet BuffySeason 3 has ended. To put it mildly, angel It was very different in setting, cast, and overall tone, and I would have liked to hear more about how Carpenter adapted her party girl character to a bustling new world of “crime” mysteries.

For example, angelEarly episodes often seem to treat Cordelia as someone in her early 20s rather than an 18-year-old high school graduate, and we'd like to hear how much of that was intentional and how much was accidental. As for the show itself, angel It evolved so quickly and radically that each season felt dramatically different from the previous, and it would be interesting to know how Charisma Carpenter handled this after leaving Buffy (A show that ironically remained largely unchanged until her passing.)

For those of us who enjoy listening to the messy drama that goes on behind the scenes, a more compelling reason to listen to Charisma Carpenter Buffy Rewatching the podcast (assuming it gets off the ground) is to see if she learns more about the franchise's creator Joss Whedon. Whedon once enjoyed a reputation as Hollywood's most prominent feminist, and one reason for the change is that Carpenter took to X (formerly Twitter) and described the man as having a “history of casual cruelty.”

She claimed he called her “fat” after she got pregnant, wondered if she would keep the baby, blamed her for getting pregnant which led to her sabotaging the show, and then fired her after she gave birth. The actress was looking forward to becoming a mother, but she claims that this joy was “immediately absorbed,” and she knew exactly who to blame: “It was Gus the Vampire.”

Long story isn't too short, I'm here for Charisma Carpenter to revisit it Buffy The glory days are on TikTok, and I'm especially a fan of her hosting a rewatch podcast. It's clear that she still has great passion for her character and this entire fictional universe, which is evident from her hilarious online videos as well as her role in the surprisingly excellent audio drama Assassins: A Paviverse Story. And if she wants to spill a whole gallon of tea about all the behind-the-scenes drama that went into the most ambitious urban fantasy show in the network's history, this is just the Cordelia-shaped cherry on top of her complete social media dominance.
