When Hanna Cavinder talks about navigating the Cavinder Twins brand
Hannah Cavender shared her experience with NIL, emphasizing the importance of preparation, organization and confidence. Reflecting on the early days of NIL, I noticed how unknown the area was when I started.
“I think the move is just beginning,” Cavender said. “Obviously when the NIL was first passed in 2021, no one really knew what to expect.”
For Hannah and her twin sister, Hallie, the journey began with their love of creating content and having fun together. Cavender highlighted the importance of surrounding herself with a trusted team, which played a crucial role in her success.
“We've always had the mentality of just having fun,” Cavender said. “And making videos together when we were at Fresno State. We got the right team, our agency. They do a great job.”
For student-athletes dealing with the demands of both academics and athletics while pursuing non-existent opportunities, Cavender emphasized the value of confidence and competence.
“Having people around you that you trust to be able to make your life run smoother is honestly the best advice I can give,” Cavender said. “Make sure you plan, organize, and have the right people in your corner.”
Her words highlighted the broader message about how opportunities for nothing have transformed the college sports landscape. For Cavender, the journey was about more than just success, it was about enjoying the process, staying authentic and finding ways to balance the pressures of student and athletic life.
