Liberal comedian Bill Maher criticized his team for cutting off family members over the holidays because of politics.

On Sunday's episode of “Random clubpodcast, Maher and fellow comedian Jay Leno bonded over the late entertainment icon Sammy Davis Jr. and how he embraced President Richard Nixon.

Leno noted that he was viewed as a “traitor” among Hollywood liberals because of his embrace of the Republican president.

Bill Maher dismisses Day's efforts as meaningless “virtue signaling,” and leaves uses to “make themselves feel better.”

“It's very funny that you mention that because, like today, we live in this time where it's not allowed to have friends on the other side or cross lines politically,” Maher told Leno. “And I forgot that there was an example of this, when a man who crossed the line politically said: ‘Oh, the worst thing you could ever do – be friends with a Republican. Yes! Call 911!”

Maher continued: “This is what I hate about the left.” “And they're not going to move me over to Trump's side, which they think they're going to do sometimes, but just the idea of, you know, 'cut your family off for Thanksgiving if they vote for the wrong guy.' T— off, you t— s. And Sammy – When he hugged Nixon, he was shunned by the left a lot.

Maher expressed Similar feeling on his show “Real Time” on HBO last month during a monologue following President-elect Donald Trump's victory.

He targeted Dr. Amanda Calhoun, Yale's chief psychiatrist, who raised eyebrows when she told MSNBC's Joy Reid It was acceptable to cut off relatives Those who voted for Trump and not being with them during the holidays.

Bill Maher says Trump's win proves the United States is not as “divided” and “racially tribal” as the media claims

“Oh, how pure. It's like not letting certain people sit with you on the bus,” Maher responded while showing a photo of civil rights icon Rosa Parks. “Think about it, a mental health professional advises people to isolate during the holidays. And don't forget about drinking too much and gaining weight.”

“You know who I really wouldn't want to have Thanksgiving dinner with? The overly educated, overly stupid, ivory tower academic, but I will because if we want this nation to heal, that's what we've got to do, force ourselves.” To connect and find out why someone feels the way they do, and make the choices they do without prejudging them, and they should do the same for you.
