In an episode of the “Club Random” podcast released Sunday, Maher was joined by late-night icon Jay Leno, where the duo discussed Drive DEI efforts In institutions and companies across the United States.
Maher said that “virtue signaling and things they do just to make themselves feel better about being allies” are a distraction from addressing the root of the problem.
“Do you want to be a good ally? Address the actual problems. Any racial problem in this country that DEI doesn't address and has programs like that,” he said.
The solution, according to Maher, lies in three things.
“Better schools. Don't graduate children who know nothing and have no skills,” he said. “More parents. And the drug war. That's the practical stuff, that's not what they care to talk about.”
Maher has often used his podcast to speak out against the left's embrace of woke culture. “We've gotten to this place where you can't even get close to a topic, certain topics, without the mob coming after you,” he declared last year.

In June, Maher said there was “Weaponizing” white guilt and an attempt to exaggerate racism in America while discussing the issue with liberal journalist Kara Swisher on his podcast.
