He offered his prayers for the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred in New Orleans, which left several dead and dozens injured.

“Today all of America stands with the people of New Orleans,” Biden said. “We pray for those killed and injured in yesterday’s attack, and are grateful to the brave first responders who rushed to save lives.”
Biden said he was happy to see the match return after it was postponed from Wednesday evening to Thursday evening, as officials searched the city for explosives after the attack.
“I'm happy the game is back today, but I'm not surprised because the spirit of New Orleans can never stop. And that goes for the spirit of America as well. We just have to remember who we are. We are the United States of America,” he said.
“Nothing is beyond our power when we do it together. God bless New Orleans, and God protect our troops.”
