The Belgium national team has sacked its coach Domenico Tedesco after less than two years in charge, and Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry is said to be among the first candidates to take over.
Former RB Leipzig coach Tedesco has been let go after a string of disappointing results, including a round-of-16 exit at last year's European Championship and a poor showing in the UEFA Nations League.
The Italian has won only two of his past ten matches, and has fallen out with Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who said last summer that he would not play under Tedesco again.

Henry previously served as Belgium's assistant coach under Roberto Martinez, and his latest coaching role saw him lead the French men's Olympic team to a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics.
A statement from CEO Peter Willems said: “The search for a successor is now underway.
“Unfortunately, the Red Devils did not produce the performance we had hoped for at Euro 2024, just as they did in the following Nations League season.
“Domenico has made an excellent start as coach of the national team and has proven that great things are still possible, even after saying goodbye to the previous generation. He has integrated a number of young players into the team, and his successor can build on that.”
Tedesco predicted big things for the team he left behind, adding: “A beautiful journey is now unfortunately coming to an end.
“This team is still at the beginning of its development and will create a huge buzz in the coming years. I wish the players, the great staff at Al-Ittihad and the fans all the best from the bottom of my heart.”
