A clash between top ten heavyweights Efe Ajagba and Martin Bakul has reportedly been set for early 2025.

Both men are top players in their early 30s but haven't been able to get title shots yet. Boxing Scene reports that the Ajagba-Bakoli fight is over. Bakoli, who stands 6'6″ tall, is likely to be the favorite against Ajagba, but that may not mean much. With Ajagba's strength, he will have a chance to strike.
#1 WBA, #3 WBC, #3 WBO, #4 Bakoli (21-1, 16 KOs) will put his high ranking in jeopardy against 2016 Nigerian Olympian Ajagba (20-1, 14 KOs). With the No. 1 ranking in the WBA, Bakool doesn't need to take that risk to get a title shot. He can just sit back, he'll get a chance eventually.
Baccoli, 31, has gained a lot of attention recently with his fifth-round knockout win over top American heavyweight, Jared Anderson, on August 3 at the Riyadh Season event at BMO Arena in Los Angeles. The win over “The Real Big Baby” Anderson was very impressive for Pacioli, as he completely eliminated him.
Ajagba has won his last five fights since losing via 10-round unanimous decision to Cuban Frank Sanchez on October 9, 2021. He has come back from the loss to pick up recent wins over Guido Vianello, Joseph Goodall, Zane Kosobotski and Stephen Shaw.
