Aubrey Plaza broke her silence on Monday, three days after the death of her husband, Jeff Baena.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” she and the Baena/Stern family said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital. “We are extremely grateful to everyone who has provided support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
The film director and writer died by suicide on January 3, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner. He was 47 years old.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that authorities responded to a call near Baena's home on Friday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Los Angeles Police told Fox News Digital.
