Manchester City found themselves falling behind again at Villa Park this afternoon as John Doran piled the misery on Pep Guardiola's struggling side.
The Colombian striker, named ahead of Ollie Watkins in the starting line-up, scored in the 16th minute after converting a pass from Morgan Rogers in a frantic start.

The goal came too late, as Villa came close twice before the goal. Duran found himself wide of the target after just 19 seconds, but his shot was saved by Stefan Ortega. From the resulting corner, the German made a fantastic save to keep out Pau Torres' header with the ball failing to cross the goal line.
Despite Jack Grealish's best efforts against his former club, City created little in the first 35 minutes. Their best effort fell to Phil Foden, but his shot was blocked by Emiliano Martinez in the Villa goal.
City entered the competition with only one win in the last 11 matches
