Four years after The Biden administration is pushing executive policies to allow biological males into female spacesParents Advocating for Education (PDE) is pressing Congress to address violence against women in athletics and calling on the NCAA to rescind its transgender policy and declare October 10 “American Girls in Sports Day.”

These measures have been introduced in the form of a draft law and two sponsored resolutions Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, PDE President Nicole Neely called the Biden administration's actions regarding girls' sports over the past four years “appalling.”

“Let's think about the original intention Title IX“It was put in place to protect and ensure that women don't lose out on opportunities as a result of their gender,” she said. “And now we're watching it happen and seeing sex with girls being weaponized against them. It actually turns the whole intent of the law on its head.”

Neely said dedicating a day to American Girls in Sports would “commemorate all the sacrifices and hard work that have gone into getting to a place of equality only to watch it stripped away by a Biden administration that refuses to even respect the definition of the word 'woman.'“.'”

Although President Donald Trump returns to the White House this weekNeely said it is critical that Congress act now.

“We can't keep doing this back and forth every four years,” she said. “It's important for Congress to get involved in these issues because it codifies and shuts them down.”

“It turns out that all these administrators, all these bureaucrats, what kind of space do they have to reinterpret something they want,” she said. “I mean, let's look at how administrative agencies have used and interpreted Title IX over the past several years. Title IX was part of the Education Amendments, ratified in 1972, and it's 37 words, but now we're watching Democrats interpret one simple word as 'sex. “They're completely rewriting what that means (to include) sexual orientation, gender identity, and that's not what's out there.”

Blackburn presented the measures to the Senate earlier this month.

The bill – titled the “Fair Play for Girls Act” – requires the US Attorney General to submit an analysis of violence against women in sports to Congress along with policy recommendations to protect young female competitors. The analysis will include barriers to fair and safe competition for biological female athletes, the prevalence of girls losing out on female athletic opportunities to biological males, and the prevalence of sexual harassment and abuse of women and girls in athletics.

Another resolution Blackburn filed calls for the NCAA — which administers intercollegiate athletics for more than a thousand universities across the country — to rescind its decision. A policy that allows transgender athletes to compete in sports of the opposite sex and compliance with the bio-sex policy in all sports.

Finally, the American Girls in Sports Day resolution will recognize October 10 as a day to celebrate the achievements of female athletes.

In addition to PDE, Blackburn's actions have also been endorsed by celebrity athlete Riley Gaines, Caitlyn Jenner, the Independent Women's Forum, and many others.

Neely believes there should be bipartisan support for these measures, which she said simply protect vulnerable girls and recognize their achievements.

“Everyone has seen the videos over the last few years of women playing sports getting physical injuries, whether it's a volleyball being hit in the face[or]a field hockey puck being hit on someone,” she said.

“There are big biological differences between men and women,” she continued. “I mean, let's even think about the game of lacrosse. A male lacrosse player throws the ball at an average rate of 85 to 95 miles per hour. Male lacrosse players wear chest protectors and helmets for this very reason. Female lacrosse players throw the ball at an average rate of 45 to 65 miles per hour, and they don't They do that, so, if you have a biological man who has that muscle mass, with that bone structure, throws a ball at a girl and it hits her, I mean there's a real risk of serious physical injury Or even death.”

She said that all of this works to limit girls' opportunities for fair competition.

“Having known so many college athletes over the course of my life, the amount of effort it takes to become a D1, D2, D3 athlete, I mean these are students who have put in thousands of hours over the course of their lives, going back to a very young age to get there,” she explained. To this elite position where they are at colleges and universities.” “And so, to have a spot on the team, to have a scholarship opportunity that is taken away from them by someone who is considered faster, just because of their biology, is something that I think A real slap in the face to these girls. “Who sacrificed a lot and worked hard.”
