Arsenal have reportedly made the first move for Dani Olmo amid uncertainty over his status at Barcelona January this year.
The Spain international only joined Barcelona in the summer and is certainly someone who will be a key player for them, although they were unable to sign him into La Liga for the second half of the season.
This crazy situation has unsurprisingly led to speculation about Olmo's future at Barcelona, as he will certainly have plenty of suitors elsewhere if his current club cannot keep him or is not allowed to play with him.
“I'll show you!” – Arsenal star’s message to Arteta
according to Sports world, Arsenal were the first to show interest in Olmowhile inquiries have also come from all of the other top six Premier League clubs: Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham.
Dani Olmo could be a great opportunity for Arsenal
Olmo looks like the type of attacking player Arsenal could deal with at the moment after suffering a recent injury blow in the case of Bukayo Saka.
The Gunners have not seen the best from players like Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard for some time, so that could mean there is room for someone like Olmo to come in and make an impact.
The 26-year-old has had a memorable 2024, winning the European Championship with Spain before his big move to Barcelona, and is boasting impressive numbers with ten goals and four assists in his last 24 appearances in all competitions for club and country.
Liverpool could certainly do well to add more attacking options to their squad as they chase the Premier League and Champions League titles, although they are perhaps less certain of a starting place at Anfield at the moment.
United need more quality in almost every area of their squad, so their interest in Olmo is no surprise, but it remains to be seen whether he will join them in their current state.
The Red Devils sit 14th in the Premier League table and are closer to a relegation battle than competing for a top four spot, so Olmo is certainly leaning towards Arsenal or Liverpool over Ruben Amorim's side at the moment.
