Liverpool coach Arne Slott said goalkeeper Alisson showed why he remains first choice at Anfield with some key saves in the 1-0 win over Girona.
Alisson had been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since the beginning of October, but returned to Spain.
Substitute Caoimhin Kelleher has impressed during his absence, but Alisson showed why he is Slot's first choice with several saves before a Mohamed Salah penalty gave Liverpool victory.
“It definitely doesn't look like Alisson will be out for a couple of months,” Slott said.
“I joked with the players that they probably wanted to know how ready he was because they let him make so many saves.

“But he showed why I always say he's our number one.”
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson also praised his goalkeeper but was not happy with the number of chances he allowed Girona, with Alisson making saves from Alejandro Francis and Miguel Gutierrez in the first half.
“He's been out for a while, so we probably had to see if he was rusty or not, and he certainly wasn't,” Robertson said.
“But we have to have more control. We can't leave too many gaps, we have to press harder and much better. Especially in the first half, it was a bit choppy for our taste.
It was also a free shot towards the opposition, who posed real problems for Liverpool but ultimately slumped to a fifth defeat in six games, largely thanks to Alisson.
“I feel very sorry for Girona,” Slott said. “They are a high-quality team and deserve much more than the three points they have gotten so far.”
“They had a really good game plan today, but we had a really good goalie.”
