Dwayne Johnson was once the king of blockbusters, able to turn seemingly any concept into a blockbuster hit, but those days are behind him as the power hierarchy in Hollywood has changed, and now his films are just….well. Black Adamconsidered a major failure, is, in retrospect, a solid success, and time will be kind to his final film, Red one. The Christmas-themed action film is now available on Amazon Prime, where it was always meant to be, after a disappointing performance at the box office in which it failed to recoup its budget, regardless of additional marketing costs, but the sad thing is that it really doesn't even… Bad movie.
The staff understood the mission
I went to the theater on the weekend to watch Red one With a friend of mine, I intended to laugh at the movie, and instead, through the sheer force of Johnson and Chris Evans, we ended up enjoying ourselves. Not that the movie is a secret masterpiece or anything, but it does showcase the bubbly character Santa he plays J. K. SimmonsLucy Liu as Nick Fury in the film, Kiernan Shipka chewing the scenery, and Kristoffer Hivju, who you'll know as game of thrones' Torsmund Giantsbane, as Krampus in a scene-stealing performance. The sum is not greater than the parts, but all participants understood the task.
Red one Goes with Chris Evans Like Jack O'Malley, a hacker, thief, stalker, and generally not-so-nice guy who steals candy from a kid. Dwayne Johnson He's Callum Drift, the name on Max Power as far as “totally fake names that someone thinks sounds cool” goes, who happens to be the leader of the ELF (Enforcement, Logistics, and Fortification), and is capable of one facial expression throughout the entire movie. The two crossing paths after the kidnapping of Santa and Christmas are in danger of being cancelled, prompting MORA (the Mythical Oversight and Restoration Authority) to act.
From sarcastic laughter to rooting for Santa
plot Red one It's incredibly predictable and simple, but also kind of fun. No one takes the movie seriously, and that gives it an absurd energy that's missing in most $250 million movies, which, yes, is this movie's budget, and no, you can't see it on screen because most of the special effects look like they came out of a SyFy original series. . I will say that the evil snowmen look better in the movie than they did in the trailer, but what's hidden is that Johnson shrinks and grows like… Ant-Man During fight scenes, an effect that looks terrible every time it happens.
Although Its flaws, Red one Interesting because it marks a return to the Christmas movies of the 80s and 90s, which weren't afraid to take aim Younger audience. Compared to some modern Christmas classics, such are inexplicably popular Polar Expressit's like a breath of fresh air by trying to do something at least a little different. It's also fun to watch Evans continue his post-Captain America career playing villains.
Red one It's now available on Amazon Prime, which is where it was always meant to be until last year's Writer's Strike delayed its release, and Amazon decided to fill a gap in the movie schedule. I predict that now that it's available for home viewing, this will become a Christmas classic. At first, it will be a mockery, but over time, laughing at the movie will slowly turn into laughing at the movie's stupid gags, and you'll try to be cool and aloof on the outside, but on the inside, you can't wait to see Santa Claus swell in all his glory. I know this because it happened to me.
