John Capodice, best known for his appearances in popular shows and films including “Seinfeld,” “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “General Hospital,” He died. He was 83 years old.

Capodice died on December 30. And obituary Pizzi Funeral Home in Northville, New Jersey announced.

The cause of death was not revealed.

Actor John Capodice died on December 30 at the age of 83, according to a public obituary published by Pizzi Funeral Home in Northville, New Jersey. (Bobby Bank/Getty Images)

“John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him,” the obituary said.

Capodice was born in Chicago in 1941. He served in the Army US Army From 1964 to 1966, while participating in the Korean War.

The prolific actor appeared in more than 150 film and television projects from 1978 to 2024.

“Seinfeld” fans. You may remember the actor from an episode of “The Revenge” that aired in 1991. Capodice played the owner of a laundromat that Kramer's character tried to sabotage. Capodice's character was hilariously accused of stealing $1,500 from a laundry bag in the popular TV sitcom.

Capodice's film credits include the films “Wall Street,” “Family Business,” “The Doors,” “Speed” and “Independence Day.” In the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, the actor played a police officer who mocked Jim Carrey's character.

He was additionally a “proud member” of the fraternal order, Sons of Blauvelt of Italy, Rockland Lodge 2176.

Capodice is survived by his wife, Jane, and his daughters, Tessa Di Piero and Cassandra Hansen. He was a “proud grandfather” to four grandchildren – David, Jake, Frankie and Juliana.
