A tragic discovery was made during a flight from Chicago to Maui Christmas Eve.
A United Airlines spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that upon arrival at Kahului Airport on Maui on Tuesday, a body was found in the wheel of one of the main landing gear on a United Airlines plane.
Flight 202 departed O'Hare Airport at 9:30 a.m. on December 24 and landed at Maui Kahului Airport at 2:12 p.m. local time, according to the United Airlines website.
The airline spokesman said the wheel well could only be accessed from outside the plane.

“At the moment, it is not clear how and when the person got into the wheel well,” the spokesman said.

The identity of the person found dead has not yet been identified.
