Police in Phoenix said they arrested two people after three people were shot and another was stabbed following a “domestic dispute that escalated” in… Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport At Christmas.
Officers received an alert about the incident that occurred outside a restaurant In Building No. 4, A Phoenix Police Department sergeant said at the scene around 9:45 p.m.
“Preliminary information indicates that a group of known individuals engaged in a physical altercation that escalated until one of them retrieved a gun from their person,” a police media report said.
Following the incident, three people suffered gunshot wounds, an adult female was listed as having “life-threatening” injuries, and two adult males were listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said two people involved were found and detained in a parking garage, identifying them only as “an adult male and a minor girl.” Police said the man suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital, where his condition was said to be stable.
He added: “There are no active threats at the airport, and investigators are at the scene and are completing an initial review to determine why this incident occurred.” Phoenix police Posted on X at 11:58 PM Mountain Standard Time. “No flights are affected by this ongoing investigation.”

The airport shelter was lifted around 10:30 p.m. Local network Fox 10 reported. An airport statement obtained by the television station said that operations of the terminal and the Phoenix Skytrain were halted briefly as a precaution.
Thursday morning, a FOX 10 reporter said the entrance to Gates B and C in Terminal 4 remains closed.
In a separate incident, another man was falsely informed of an active shooter at the airport and arrived armed, the sergeant at the scene said Wednesday night. He got into an altercation with an officer and was arrested before going to prison. No injuries were reported in the second accident.
Police said weapons were found in both incidents.

The two main airlines operating out of Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor are American and Southwest Airlines, according to the airport's website.
