Police responded to a 911 call just after 6 a.m. Sunday of a crying baby and discovered that someone had placed an infant wrapped in blankets inside a carrier bag and left the bag in front of an apartment building on Rev. James A. Street. Paulette, according to officials.
NYPD said child, who has not yet been identified, was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition and remains under the care of hospital staff.
“It's very upsetting to hear about this for this neighborhood,” one local resident told FOX 5 NY.

Police said the girl was left in a green bag in the Bronx.

Spokesperson Section Fox News Digital said Monday that the suspect's gender “remains unclear at this time” and referred the public to the video.
They added that there was nothing else left with the child in the bag.
