Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim provided an update on Alejandro Garnacho After the young Argentine winger was ruled out of the big match against Manchester City at the weekend.
Both Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were left out of the squad for the Manchester derby, failing to even make the bench as the Red Devils won 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Garnacho has not been at his best this season, and Amorim seems to realize that he has 'upset' the player by excluding him from such an important match.
Manchester United are looking to replace Rashford for £48m
However, there is no doubt that the Portuguese coach will be hoping to get a reaction from the youngster, and it seems that may be working well so far.
See below where journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Amorim as saying that Jarnacho is now training well, even if he is not very happy with his manager's decision…
???? Ruben Amorim: “Jarnacho is doing very well, he has trained very well.”
“He seems a little annoyed with me and that's perfect! I was really happy that I would do the same.”

Did Ruben Amorim make the right decision with Alejandro Garnacho?
Garnacho is a fantastic talent on his day, but he's also perhaps someone who needs to be reminded from time to time that his place in the team is by no means guaranteed.
The 20-year-old could go on to have a great career at Old Trafford, but he needs to have the right mentality as well as the right natural ability.
Amorim could be a good manager for Garnacho, as he seems not afraid to make it clear how high his standards are.
MUFC fans will hope Garnacho could exploit his disappointment at being left out In a positive way going forward, while it might also be good for the rest of the team to be well aware that anyone is at risk of losing their place.
Amorim has not had an easy start since becoming United manager, but there were some signs of progress, especially with a late win away to City.
