“I was kind of stunned when I heard the news,” Brady told Fox play-by-play man Kevin Burkhart. “I didn't think this was an opportunity he was looking at. But obviously they've got a great coach.
“Being in the locker room with him for so many years, these guys are going to play so hard. He's going to coach them so well. It's a huge benefit to all the players that go into this program because they get the best coach the NFL has ever seen — and now it's at the college level.” “
Burkhart asked Brady how he thought Belichick's recruitment would go.
The former New England Patriots star quarterback admitted that his former coach wasn't exactly the warmest person in the world.
“It's not the warmest and fuzziest ever. It's not like there were a lot of… I remember one year after we won the Super Bowl our first year, we rode in a limo down Bourbon Street after we beat the Rams in 2001.
