Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs) scored a seventh-round stoppage of the appearance of Ebenezer Tetteh (23-2, 20 KOs) on Sunday night at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar. The referee stopped the fight after the seventh round because the 36-year-old Tetteh was severely punished.
Dillian had a big gut and looked like he was training at a hamburger stand. He hasn't looked good, working to stop a fighter who was destroyed by Daniel Dubois in one round in 2019. Tonight's fight showed that Whyte is a shell of the fighter he once was. There are no words to describe how bad Wyatt looks. He was so terrible to look at.
After the fight, White tried to explain why it took him seven rounds to stop Tetteh, saying he wanted to “get some rounds in.” It doesn't seem like that. Dillian was trying to knock out Tetteh, and he didn't have the explosiveness he had five to ten years ago.
The painfully slow and brutal Tetteh took the fight to Whyte at first, backing the ropes and landing some great shots. For a moment, it looked as if the flabby-looking 261-pound White was in trouble, but he dodged enough of Tetteh's shots to escape without going down.
After the first round, Tetteh was exhausted and fought in short bursts for the rest of the contest. And at four, White Nose Tetteh bloodied, which woke up Ghana. He went on the attack and had a good round. That was Tetteh's last salute, and he rarely threw any punches after four.

In the seventh, White unloaded with a storm of shots, trying to strike but failing. He fell to the canvas after landing a wild right hand.
White used a lot of rabbit punches, low blows, and forearms to batter Tetteh throughout the bout, but the referee chose not to penalize him. It was quite ugly at times in terms of contamination, since this was a mismatch, and there was no real need for these tactics.
“I needed the rides. I had been out for a long time. I was angry and wanted to kill. Anybody who comes from a third world country is trying to change their life. He gave me the rides I needed. I'm happy,” Dillian Whyte said after his win over Ebenezer Tetteh. .
“Everyone is fighting everyone. Turk does a great job of getting guys to fight each other. I want to fight in March. Inactivity has killed my career. I would love to be on the Riyadh season card. People are paying their hard-earned money to come out to see me.”
It's hard to imagine Turki Al-Sheikh including White on any of his Riyadh season cards because he looks old and slow at 36 years old. It wouldn't be a good idea to include it. There are plenty of talented young talents who deserve to be on Riyadh's season cards more than White. Turki would be doing us all a favor by not including Dillian on his cards in Riyadh. It's bad enough that he had Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua fighting over his cards. These men have nothing left.
Whyte was rooting for Tyson Fury to knock out Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch on Saturday. That might explain why he fouled Tetteh repeatedly tonight, but why would he need to? This was a guy that Dillian Whyte could destroy without any problems if he had even a modicum of talent, but he clearly didn't have it anymore. He's been shot.
