PARIS (Reuters) – Two security personnel and migrants were killed in a shooting in Lone Plage near the northern city of Dunkirk, French media reported on Saturday, citing security sources.

French media reported that a 22-year-old man turned himself in to nearby authorities after the shooting, saying he was the attacker and that he had also killed a fifth person in a nearby town earlier that day.

French media reported that the authorities found three other weapons in the man's car.

Representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice did not immediately respond to requests for comment. It was not immediately clear what the motives for the shooting were.

Lone Plage is located about 10 kilometers (6.21 miles) from the English Channel and is the site of a migrant camp.
