Trent Alexander-Arnold has insisted he will not discuss any details of his contract talks with Liverpool, but has not been shy about emphasizing his excitement about the future under new manager Arne Slott.

Alexander-Arnold said: “I've been at the club for 20 years, I've signed four or five contract extensions and none of them have been announced publicly, and this one won't be announced either.” Sky Sports News.
However, when discussing his thoughts on Slot, Alexander-Arnold made it very clear that he is very happy with life under the Dutchman and hinted that he is already thinking about what the future holds in this new era.
“The level of detail he has… I find myself smiling because of that, because that's something I really enjoy,” Alexander-Arnold said. “It's just football at a very in-depth level.
“I could tell from the first time I met him that I was going to enjoy playing under him and being a part of this. I feel like I was going to get better and better and learn a lot in such a short period of time and keep learning, because I could tell he was obsessed with football and the level of detail incredible.”
Alexander-Arnold also admitted that he hopes to provide 100 assists for Liverpool, which, given he currently sits on 83 assists, could be interpreted as a long-term plan.
“To be honest, I never thought I would achieve numbers like this,” he said. “My goal was never to reach 100 assists or break records for that matter. But the more you play, the more extravagant your dreams and ambitions become. So, yeah, maybe that's the next thing: I'm trying to hit that 100.”
