Mohamed Salah was named Premier League Player of the Year for the sixth time today after an impressive November that helped Liverpool maintain their strong start to the season.

The Egyptian striker scored or assisted on five of the Reds' seven goals as they won all three of their league matches last month to remain top of the table.

Salah scored a stunning goal to secure a 2-1 win over Brighton, had a hand in both goals against Aston Villa and then scored twice in Liverpool's 3-2 win over Southampton.

The 32-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, now has a Premier League-best 21 goals or assists this season, four more than Chelsea's Cole Palmer.

He is now just one step away from the record number of Premier League Player of the Year awards, with Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero each picking up seven awards.
