During a media gathering, Soto was asked if he had a message to say Yankees fans Who was hoping to return with a similar deal the Mets offered him.

“I want to thank them,” Soto said, via SNY. “They've really shown me all the love and everything they have in the last year. They've been there day in and day out. They really have a place in my heart at the end of the day. It's hard that we haven't been able to get that together and try to come back and things like that but for sure I'll always appreciate what They did it for me in 2024.”

This may not be the answer Yankees fans want, but Soto at least acknowledges what they did for him in 2024.
