Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khounai, excluded negotiations with the administration of US President Donald Trump, citing previous experiences and pledged to respond strongly to any threats.
“With such a government, there should be no negotiations because they are not wise, nor wise, nor generous,” Khukini told the Iranian military forces on Friday.
He referred to the 2015 nuclear deal, from which Trump withdrew in 2018 before imposing difficult sanctions on Iran.
“If we threaten, we will aim them. . . This is our duty, as required by Islam. “
This statement comes in the week in which Trump signed an executive order to return to the policy of “maximum pressure” penalties in his first term IranBut he also called for Tehran and Washington to reach a “verified nuclear agreement.”
