Sky Sports Golf told Sky Sports Golf that “No. 1 goal” in 2025 is to make the Ryder Cup team in Europe and play in the “crazy environment” in Bethpage Black.
The Austrian appeared for the first time in his league in Rome in 2023, when he took one of his three games, where he and Shane Lori beat Ricky Fowler and Coleen Maurica in the first quarter.
This victory came amid a sweep 4-0 in the opening session Europe continued to win 16.5-11.5 During the reign of Captain Luke Donald to restore the cup they lost in Wisconsin two years ago.
Straka exclusively told Sky SPORTS GOLF PODCAST: Looking at this September competition, Straka exclusively told Sky Sports Golf: “This will be the number 1. You thought that playing in Rome will be an element in a bucket, but it makes you want to do it more.
“I think it will be a very crazy environment and I think the big thing is to deal with pressure – this will be huge, because we will feel pressure a lot from many different aspects.
“I think that you are strongly strong will be huge for the 12 which goes and this is something you can start preparing for. You will never have this environment, but you can definitely start preparing for that.
“The preparation (Donald and Vice -captain Idardo Molinari) began the next day for Rome. They were already preparing even though we did not know the certainty that Luke would be the captain.
“No stone will be left without these men attending that championship. Whatever the 12 will be as possible as possible for that environment.”

Straka: 2023 Ryder CUP exceeded my expectations
“My expectations (for the Rider 2023 Cup) were really high per week and exceeded all my expectations,” Straka continued.
“It was very special. Just standing on this first start on Friday with Shin (Lori) and the crowd was incredible throughout the week. It was just a very wonderful environment.
“I imagine that the environment will be different, but this team room will feel the same in New York. I am really looking to try to play in the team.”
Straka – Three times winner on the PGA tour, the last of which was in January at America Express – he feels that he is able to win a big victory and has allocated the open championship at Royal Portrush in July.
“I definitely think I have the best good enough. Many things should meet – you can't really force him to the main championship or force them to the tournament,” added scientist No. 16.
“I think Ugusta (for masters) is always limited, but Royal Portrush – I have heard from many players, and a lot of Caddies that this is their favorite open. This will be really special.
“I have improved a lot in Links Golf over the years. I think my set of skills is working better for this specialization than many others.
“Nobody likes to play in these circumstances, but in the open, you just enjoy it and know it is part of it.”
