Jenny Hermoso told the trial of former Spanish soccer captain Luis Rubiales that the kiss he presented to her in the 2023 World Cup is “stained with the happiest days of my life.”
Rubiales, the former president of the Football Association in Spain, tried in Madrid on Monday for the qiblah, Accused of sexual assault and coercion.
“My manager was kissing me, and this should not happen in any social preparation or work,” Hermoso said as the first trial.
Rubiales raised a big debate when the athlete accepted the lips while the players received the World Cup medals in Australia, which led to protests and calling for his resignation.
Hermoso told the court that she had not given permission to kiss her.
She said, “I haven't heard or understood anything.”
“The next thing he did is seize the ears and kiss me on the mouth.”
She continued: “A kiss is given on the lips only when I decide it.”
Prosecutors call for one year prison sentence for sexual assault.
They also invite him to obtain a prison sentence for a year and a half for coercion, allegedly trying to pressure Hermoso to say publicly that the kiss was consensus.
Rubiales denies charges.
At that time, Rubiales said that the qiblah was consensual and introduced the so -called magical research by “fake feminism”, before resigning from his position.
Three of his former colleagues are also heading to trial for Hermoso's coercion for saying that the kiss was mutual.
Jorge Felda, the coach of the World Cup -winning team, Robion Rivera, former head of the Federation Marketing, and former sports director, Albert Locke, all denies the charges.
The trial will continue until February 19.
