Collins was not expected to face a difficult confirmation battle and witnessed support from the two parties in his committee hearing, with the exception of Democratic Senator Mazi Herono of Hawaii, who voted against him.

If it is confirmed as Minister of the Ministry of Affairs of the Veterans, Collins will be assigned to oversee a system of health care and advantages of the country's old warriors.
