'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson will continue to 'fight the battle' as he battles to lose his appetite following his defeat. Diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
On the latest episode of the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast, Phil’s son Jesse relayed his father’s wishes in thanking fans for their outpouring of prayers. Jesse noted that his father is keeping “the faith” as he struggles with his diagnosis.
Phil's other son, Alan Robertson, was also on the podcast episode and explained that he told his wife, Lisa, that he didn't expect his father to get the response he did after sharing that Health is declining.
“The outpouring of love and support, Of prayer “…It's almost a little confusing to me,” Alan said.

Jase noted that the original podcast episode announcing Phil's diagnosis was released several days after it was recorded. When the podcast went live, Phil was able to have a moment of “break” from the constant pain and loss of appetite he was experiencing.
“The outpouring of love and support and prayer…it's almost a little overwhelming for me.”
“During that short transitional period, Phil got a little relief from his pain. And although his general conditions remained the same, he felt better. We went to lunch with him, you know, Missy and I, because, as You know, if you bring him really good food, you can convince him to eat.”
Jesse pointed out that because of his father's health condition, he is “not hungry at all” and has to “eat by himself.”
“I really feel like it was just prayers,” Jesse said of his father's sudden uplift in spirits. “Because, you know, for months, he's been on a downward spiral.”
Jase noted that before the podcast episode was released, Phil was at “the lowest point in this whole process.”
“This was the first time I really saw some improvement. He felt a little better. We had a good conversation, and he was kind of in tune with the conversation,” Jesse noted.
Since Phil was feeling a little better after the podcast was released on Friday, he decided to go to church on Sunday.
“He didn't do much, didn't say much. But he came for an hour,” Jesse said.

Jesse noted that he was overwhelmed by the text messages he received after sharing his father's diagnosis. Donald Trump Jr. has stood out the most.
“You know, the son of the president-elect,” he said. “I was kind of overwhelmed. We really appreciate all the prayers.”
On Friday's episode of “Unashamed with the Robertson Family,” Jesse revealed the diagnosis.
Jesse said: “Phil's not feeling well. I think I spoke on the 1,000th podcast. We were trying to figure out the diagnosis. But according to the doctors, he has some kind of blood disease that's causing all kinds of problems.”

“It's accelerating, and it's causing problems with his whole body. He's got early stages of Alzheimer's. So, if you put those things together, he's actually not doing well. He's suffering.”
Jesse revealed that Phil was a big part of the 'Unashamed' podcast, but due to his ill health, he is 'unable to sit down and have a conversation'. He also noted that these days his father can barely walk around without “screaming in pain.”
“He misses it. He misses the stories we tell,” Jesse said of the podcast.
The “Shame of the Robertsons” group included Phil, Jesse, Alan, and Phil's nephew Zach Dasher.

Jesse noted that a team of doctors told him and his family that “there is no cure for what Phil is suffering from.”
“We're trying to make it a little more comfortable,” he noted.
In the podcast episode, Jesse noted that the Robertson family appreciated the prayers and support Phil sent.
