Mikel Artita insists that Arsenal “here to win” against Girona, despite the need for a tie to secure the qualification for the last Champions League.

Gunners currently sits third in the standings before the closing round on Wednesday night, with three points in the first eight.

With five wins, tie and defeat so far from their seven European games, this term, ARTETA men need a point against the Spanish side to ensure a place in the first eight. Girona, in the meantime, plays for her pride in their hopes of eliminating the knockout.

But with a victory, a higher final position is likely to ensure the last 16 -year -old, ARTETA insists that all its efforts will go towards getting three other points.

“We are here to win the game,” he said at his press conference before the match.

“In order to do this, we will be better than them.

“It is a really good aspect, if you look at the games they played in the Champions League against the supreme opposition, they have made life very difficult for them.

“Tomorrow will be a very strong team to achieve what we want to do because the sports qualifiers are not sure.”

The victory will be on Wednesday night, the fourth in a row in the competition, while the North London population is looking to get successive victories in the Champions League for the first time since 2016.

It is a blatant improvement in their conflicts that they faced on their flights last season, as they lost to the lens, Puerto and Bayern Munich on the road.

When they improve in the matches, ARTETA said: “We are more consistent and I think we were better in understanding that it is very difficult to win and overcome the opposition in the Champions League.

“Tomorrow, we will face very good opposition and we will be fine to overcome them.

“Every game, every scenario, every context will be different. It is coming here, when we need something from the game, and we are here to win. From the first minute, the situation and the design will be to go again, and we hope you get the game.”
