Investing.com- Elon Musk asked a federal judge to reject a proposed collective lawsuit claiming that the election gift of one million dollars per day to support the American constitution was an illegal lottery under the Texas Law.
The lawsuit, filed on November 5, 2024, by Jacqueline Antarati, residing in Arizona, claims that the CEO of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 Musk and his political action committee, America PAC, misled the participants by proposing a random selection of the winners.
In his defense, “Musk” said that the participants were completely aware that signing the petition provides an opportunity to earn money as spokes of the American Political Labor Committee, and not through a random lottery. He stressed that providing personal information did not cause harm as it was claimed in the lawsuit.
The lawsuit seeks to obtain compensation of $ 5 million for the two sites on the petition, claiming that the gift was deceptive and violated the laws of the state.
The Musk initiative, which was part of his support for Donald Trump's presidential campaign for 2024, included daily $ 1 million prizes for voters registered in the swinging states who signed a petition supporting the American constitution.
