Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to reporters on Tuesday, explaining that he understood “Deebo saying that.”
“Depo wants to help us and the only way he helps us is to get more of the ball, we would like to get it to him more and we will continue to work on that.”
Shanahan added that he wished Samuel had kept the case offline, but said the incident was “water under the bridge.”

Brooke Purdy, who appeared to be the subject of Samuel's post, echoed that sentiment.
“Debo and I talk all the time and he's one of my best friends on this team. I absolutely love Debo and what he's done for me and helping me,” the midfielder said Tuesday.
“I think he's right. He's doing a great job now with what we're asking him to do offensively. He's not struggling or anything. It's like I said before about players like Ricky (Pearsall) or last year with Aiyuk for a while, I think there are just moments throughout Seasons where guys don't get the ball, just depending on the scheme or the defensive scheme and they run guys away so, I want to get Deebo the ball every game if I can, I want to make him break all the records as best as he can, I want Deebo to do things that we do. We're all in on this “The building, the guy and I, will do everything we can to give him the ball.”
