John Cena He began his WWE retirement tour with the premiere of RAW on Netflix. The Censation leader announced that he plans to win his 17th world title by competing at the upcoming 2025 Royal Rumble PLE pay-per-view.
Speaking of the latest edition of What were they thinking? On Backstage Pass, John Cena Sr. was asked to share his thoughts on his son's impending retirement from WWE.
“I can't speak for John. I've never discussed why or how it happens. But I think, as you all know, working in this business, you know when you've had enough. And I think his theory is, 'If I can't go the way “The way I used to go and perform the way I used to perform, maybe it's time to step back.”
He continued:
“And you know, when you look at the streak of the 2000s that he had in all those games, I think you have to sit down and really think. I certainly don't want to see him go. But I think there's a time limit in everyone's life when you know when it's time “Leave.” (From 01:37 onwards)
John Cena will likely return to the ring at Royal Rumble. It remains to be seen whether it is the former Two-time Royal Rumble winner It could reach all three on February 1, 2025.
