Former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) participated in a controversial segment on Dynamite:maximum Carnage last night. This caused a stir among fans.
MJF is one of the best talkers in professional wrestling. He can hold a microphone and is usually one of the funniest stars with a microphone in his hand. Recently, Maxwell became involved with Jeff Jarrett after the latter expressed his desire to win the AEW World Title. Salt of the Earth offered to help The Last Outlaw win the title in exchange for his first title shot, which Jarrett refused. This week in Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, MJF and Jeff Jarrett came face to face again.
Satan touched on Double J's alcoholism and made some personal comments towards the latter's wife. Jeff also didn't hold back when talking about Friedman's childhood. However, this segment took a dark turn when The Wolf of Wrestling was mentioned late Owen HartWhich led to Jeff hitting him. Karen Jarrett ran to the ring to separate her husband from the American Champion, but Maxwell used her as a shield before escaping.

The segment between MJF and Jeff Jarrett was controversial for many reasons. One of the things the two men did during their segment was shoot each other's partners. Maxwell noted that Jeff's wife, Karen, was previously married to Kurt Angle. On the other hand, Jarrett commented on the “activities” of The Wolf of Wrestling's girlfriend (Alicia Atout) behind the scenes.

“I could have done without the bits saying, ‘Your girlfriend was married and your wife was married to someone else.’” Jeff played it cool because he said, “Hey, this has all been done before.” However, the response to your girlfriend being young Illegal; he got admiration, he got admiration, but where does he go? Jeff Jarrett was always the son of Jerry Jarrett, who was a big star in wrestling, he said.
It will be interesting to see if MJF and Jeff Jarrett compete inside the squared circle in the coming weeks.
