Investigators say the now-deceased gunman shot A Nashville, Tennesseea high school student on Wednesday, killing a female student and wounding another before shooting himself, was “significantly affected” by online material found on sites “that most people would find harmful and objectionable.”

Metropolitan Nashville Police on Wednesday identified 17-year-old Solomon Henderson as the shooter at Antioch High School. Who was killed Jocelyn Correa Escalante, 16, injured a 17-year-old student after being shot. The latter has since been treated and released from hospital.

The investigation into the murder-suicide inside the school cafeteria determined that Henderson fired 10 shots from a 9 mm handgun within 16 seconds after entering the room, police said in a news release Thursday.

The gun was filled with nine rounds when investigators found it, police said. A magazine loaded with seven rounds was also recovered from the cafeteria floor.

The investigation found that just before entering the cafeteria, Henderson went to a nearby restroom where he posted the photos on social media.

Police previously believed Henderson took a bus to school on Wednesday, but they have since confirmed that his mother drove him to school.

When investigators searched Henderson's home, they were unable to find any firearms or other weapon parts.

Although no firearms were found, investigators have since found two documents they believe Henderson created on unconventional websites — one 51 pages long and the other 288 pages long.

Police said documents and other evidence found in the home were being carefully examined by Homicide Unit investigators as well as investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division and the FBI.

Police said: “It is clear that Henderson was significantly affected by material on the internet, particularly that found on non-traditional websites which most people would find harmful and objectionable.”

Additionally, it was learned that the gun was purchased by an individual in Arizona in 2022 and had not been reported stolen.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is helping police determine how Henderson obtained the gun.
