Allrounder Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to make a comeback in domestic cricket. Arjun is in Goa's squad for the Ranji Trophy final against Nagaland.

The match will be played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima. Tendulkar was earlier left out of Goa's squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, the left-arm seamer has once again found his way into the red-ball cricket team.

Arjun Tendulkar in Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Slate League

Arjun Tendulkar took 16 wickets in the four matches he played in this Ranji Trophy season for Goa. All these matches were from the Championship Plate League. The left-arm quick averages 18.18 with the ball and stands ninth in the list of highest wicket-taker in the Plateau League.

Goa qualified for the final by finishing top of the league by winning all five of its matches. Meanwhile, Nagaland finished second with three wins, one defeat and one draw.

Besides picking up wickets, Tendulkar scored 51 runs in three innings at an average of 17. The youngster initially played some matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but was dropped after a few poor outings with the ball.

Arjun Tendulkar is originally from Mumbai but joined Goa ahead of the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season. Since then, he has been an integral part of Goa's teams across formats and played a key role for the state with both ball and bat.

Arjun can bowl the new ball in both directions and is an overall useful cricketer. He has played 17 first-class matches so far and has taken 37 wickets at an average of 33.51 with one five-wicket haul to his name.

He also made crucial contributions with the bat and scored 532 runs at an average of 23.13 with a best of 120 runs. Tendulkar played 18 List A matches and 24 T20s as well. He has picked up 25 wickets in List A cricket and 27 wickets in T20 cricket.

Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar will play in the upcoming IPL season for Mumbai Indians. Arjun has been linked with Mumbai from the beginning and was signed by the franchise for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

He was not sold in the first round but MI bid for him in the final few minutes of the auction. Arjun has played five matches in the Indian Premier League so far and has taken 3 wickets at an average of 38 and an economy rate of 9.36.

He has been with Mumbai for a long time now but is yet to feature regularly in the series. The youngster is hoping to get some regular opportunities to strengthen his position in the league. However, it seems difficult given the amount of competition in the Indian Premier League.
